J a c k Bible Sr. passed away in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at the age of 93 years.

Jack was the son of Roy & Lulella (Satterlee) Bible, born on June 23, 1928, in Wewoka, Oklahoma. He was brought in rural Oklahoma north of Sasakwa, and attended New Model schools.

He was drafted into the U.S. Army, and served in Korea. Following military service he moved to California, where he lived until 1968.

He returned to Oklahoma and lived in Seminole for less than a year before settling in Wewoka, his home for the past fifty years.

He married Barbara Robertson on October 29, 1997, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

He worked many years mowing for the Seminole County Division of the Oklahoma State Highway Department.

Jack enjoyed mowing and doing lawn work in his spare time as well, and loved camping at the lake. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Wewoka. He was an active member of the VFW in Holdenville, and later in Eufaula.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Lulella Bible; two sons, Preston Lee Bible and Keith Ray Bible; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: infant Floyd Bible, Leroy & Maxine bible, and Wayne & Beatrice Bible, and one sister, Janna Heard.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Barbara Bible, of the home; two sons and three daughters: Jack Bible Jr. of Wewoka, Timothy Stewart Bible (Kathy) of Holdenville, Lisa Michelle Harrod (Craig) of Seminole, Gina Henning (Allen) of North Carolina, and Kristin Erin Hardwick of Wewoka; two stepchildren, Renee Ann Smith and Earl Smith (Janie), all of Seminole; twenty-three grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; one brother, Billy Bible of Wewoka; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 19, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel, and Jack will be laid to rest at Wolf Cemetery, Wolf, Oklahoma. Rev. Frank Moppin is the officiating minister.

Pallbearers are Josh Harrod, Jeremy Gulley, Larry House, Kenny House, Russell House, Terry Heard, and Roy Heard.

Honorary pallbearers are Wade House and Justen House.
