Howard Edward “Ed” Hardin, lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away on February 15, 2021 at the age of 71. He was born on May 19, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to parents Bert Walter Hardin and Helen Evelyn (Sims) Hardin. He graduated from Seminole High School in 1968 and received his Associate Degree from Seminole State College. He married Suzanne Easter on July 18, 1973 in Duncan, Oklahoma.

Edward was Manager/Co-Owner of Curry-Hardin Furniture. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Seminole where he served as a Deacon. He was a member of the Seminole Kiwanis Club. He enjoyed working at the store and chatting with customers and members of the community and his church family. He really enjoyed being with his family and attending his grandkids ballgames.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 47 years, Suzanne of the home in Seminole, his son; Rusty Hardin and his wife Jordann of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, his daughter; Lindsay Churchwell of Harrah, Oklahoma, his brothers; Walter Hardin and his wife Barb and Joe Hardin and his wife Nancy, his sister; Frieda Dunlap and her husband Frank and his grandchildren; Braxton Churchwell, Hally Churchwell and Lyric Cannon.

The family will have a private memorial service for Edward on Sunday, February 21, 2021, followed by public viewing and visitation from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home. The family is requesting all who attend to wear masks. There will be a book available at the funeral home for those not able to attend the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Edward’s honor be sent to Seminole County House of Hope, P.O. Box 338, Seminole, Oklahoma 74818 or the Church of Christ at Seminole, 12040 Hwy 99 N., Seminole, Oklahoma 74868.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
