Helen Bales

Helen Ruth Bales, Earlsboro resident, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 69. Helen was born on February 16, 1952, in Fletcher, Oklahoma, to Wiley Paul and Letha Lee (Williams) Smith. She worked as a hairdresser. She spent most of her life in Shawnee, OK.

Helen is survived by her son, Howard D. Davis II; two brothers, Steve Smith and John Smith; sisters, Sandra Edings, Brenda Scott, Elain Bledson and Verena Smith; one grandchild and two great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claid Drew Bales; Sherrie Lynn Ross, Olivia Lynn Ross, Lonnie Smith, David Smith, Richard Scott and Harold Smith.

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Smith Family Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
