Harvey Lee Ledbetter a long time resident of Seminole, Oklahoma passed from this life to his Eternal Home Thursday, October 15th, 2020 at the age of 87.

Harvey was born September 7th, 1933 in Hughes County to Ollie Everett and Cordelia Green Ledbetter.

He spent a lifetime of working and he would leave school early to help his father. He worked on the farm and many other jobs including landscaping, factory, and grocery retail.

Harvey retired in 1997 after 24 years working for Shawnee Milling Company.

Harvey married the love of his life, Dortha Gean McCoy on December 10, 1960.

He was a longtime member of Ideal Street Baptist Church. He also attended Highway Baptist since 2012.

He loved helping send care packages to soldiers and volunteered his help to many other projects.

Harvey loved to hunt, fish, and archery. He would make his own bow strings and arrows.

Harvey is survived by his wife Dortha of the home, four children; LaDonna Kathleen Chatfield of St Augustine, FL, Mila Joy Tulgetske of the home, Regina Sue Bailey and husband Eddie of Tecumseh, OK, Steven Lee Ledbetter of Oklahoma City, OK, grandchildren; Christopher Ledbetter of Mcloud, OK, Leanna Ledbetter of Mcloud, OK, Henry (Buster) Kendrick of Guthrie, OK, Tammy Spraker and husband Paul of Baldwinsville, NY, Angela Fasoldt and husband Ron of Liverpool, NY, Heather Hughes Oswego, NY, Dennis Freed of St Augustine, FL, Kenny and Tim Braley and Bonnie Turnbaugh of New York, great grandchildren; Courtney Spraker, Kayla and Tim Fasoldt, Natalie and Jack Braley, Gabriel Hughes, Sophia and Ophelia Turnbaugh, son-in-law Buster Braley and wife Terri.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Velma Brewer, Thelma Griffith, Syble Harris, and brother Floyd Ledbetter.

Pallbearers are Mike McCoy, Brandon McCoy and Jacky McCoy.

Viewing will be 1:00pm-8:00pm Wednesday October 21, 2020 and 9:00am-8:00pm Thursday October 22, 2020 at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, OK.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Friday October 23, 2020 at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Carl Whitfield officiating.

Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery, Holdenville, OK.

Everyone is welcome but Masks will be required.

Services are under the directions of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
