Wewoka resident, Glenn Everett Knox, 77, passed away Tuesday, May 30, at his home.

Glenn, the son of Henry and Lucille (Perales) Knox, was born January 15, 1946, in Tulsa. As a child he lived in Guthrie, before moving to Stillwater. In the early 1980’s Glenn moved into the Seminole area, where he would live for the rest of his life. On May 18, 1991, Glenn married Marie “Tiny” LeDoux, in Wewoka. Glenn was a truck driver by trade, he and Tiny went coast to coast. Glenn enjoyed NASCAR, cooking for his family, hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with all of his family and having big family cookouts. While traveling coast to coast, one of Glenn’s favorite things was meeting new people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lucille Knox; Wayne and Marilyn Chennault; and a grandson, Robbie Benoit.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Tiny, of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Tony and Victoria Knox, of Wewoka, and Johnny Knox, of Seminole; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Karl Krause of Wewoka, Nancy Martinez, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Toni and David Godwin, of Lake Arthur, LA.; brother and sister-in-law, John and Brenda Knox, of Colbert, OK; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.

Casket bearers will be Glenn’s grandsons, David Krause, Blade and Coalton Knox, AJ and Michael Martinez, and Tanner, Jaedyn, Joey, and Drew Knox.

Viewing will be from 2:00 until 4:00, Sunday afternoon, at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.

Services will be Monday, June 5, 2023 at 10:00 A.M., at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole, with a private burial to follow. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
