Gertrude Lucille Hamm, 82, Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away, Sunday, September 1, 2019 at her home in Seminole. Gertrude was born April 19, 1937 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Charles Holt and Maxine (Clark) Holt.

Gertrude owned and operated Hamm’s Day Care in Shawnee, Oklahoma for 35 years. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spending time with them.

Gertrude married Charles E. Hamm on September 9, 1952 in Las Vegas, Nevada and he preceded her in death on January 14, 2008.

She is survived by her son Charles E. Hamm, Jr. and his wife Dawna Hamm of Shawnee, Oklahoma, two daughters Pamela Gene Miller and her husband Pete of Columbia, Missouri and Gale Kathe-line Gilbert , her brother and sister-in-law, C.A. and Judy Bearshears of Oregon, her 8 grandchildren; Holly Edwards, Anna Hamm, Jeremey Hair, Chad Hamm, Robert Miller, Joshua Hair , Amber Whiteside and Crystal Rodriguez and 19 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Hamm and a daughter Deborah Mead.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Castle Cemetery in Castle, Oklahoma. Dennis Parmer will officiate at the service.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
