Gertie Brumley

Gertie Darlene Brumley passed away at her home in Seminole, Oklahoma on Friday, February 3, 2023, at the age of 83 years.

Gertie was the daughter of Guy & Gertie (Franks) Anderson, born on December 29, 1939, in Okemah, Oklahoma. She was brought up and attended schools in the Okemah area, and graduated Bearden High School with the Class of 1958. She was married to Marvin Griffin and they were parents of three sons. She later married Willard Brumley and after his death, reunited with Marvin Griffin. She has lived in the Seminole area for many years and worked for Boise Cascade Kingsbury Homes in Holdenville, and for Blue Bell and Acker Industries in Seminole. Some of her favorite things were camping, fishing, and watched Westerns on TV.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Guy & Gertie Anderson; husband Marvin Griffin on March 13, 2018; one sister, Delores Ott.

She is survived by three sons: Gary Griffin of Seminole, Roy Griffin of Holdenville, and Kevin Griffin (Angelica) of Seminole; four grandchildren: Marvin ‘Eddie’ Griffin (Kelli), Gena Kolander (Kevin), Travis Griffin, and Robin Griffin; five great-grandchildren, and one great-greatgrandchild; one brother, Jerry Anderson (Linda) of Bearden; nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, 2:00pm at Little Cemetery Chapel, Little, Oklahoma, with Rev. Mike Lewis officiating. Pallbearers are Eddie Griffin, Travis Griffin, Dakota Griffin, Torrin Cummings, Collin Cone, and Dennis Beckett. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Ott, Jacob Ott, Andrew Ott, Austin Galyen, John Hough, and Chester Phillips. www.fisherfh.net
