Frances Chambers

Frances Chambers was born on August 9, 1937 to Walter and Myrtle McCoy. Frances passed to the Lord on February 4, 2021 at her home in Grove, Oklahoma after battling cancer. She was surrounded by her family with love laughter, and appreciation.

She married Thomas Chambers on December 29, 1955 in Ada, Oklahoma. They were married for 54 years. They each held successful business careers and later in life, enjoyed breeding and racing quarterhorses. Their bond for each other never failed.

She is survived by one son and a very special Daughter-In-Law, John and Carolyn Chambers of Wewoka; 2 daughters, Sharon Carey of Afton, OK and Carolyn Chambers of Grove, OK; 1 brother, Herschell McCoy of Stuart, OK; 1 Sister, Ruth Ann Tyler of Bristow, OK. Frances was also blessed with 5 Amazing Grandchildren, Shannon Williams, Shawn Ainsworth, Sharrie Norman, Sharyl Whorton, and Ame Chambers. The constant joy of her life was visiting with her 8 Great Grandchildren, Ashlin, Alivia, Aden, Dawson, Sawyer, Reece, Ryan, Justice, and Knox. She has always been supported by a very special nephew and niece, Jack and Sara Nuckols.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Chambers; parents; sisters Beatrice McDowell and Jane Marsh.

Frances lived in Wewoka most of her life. She was the owner of Chambers Realty and was an agent and broker for numerous years. She also managed numerous rental properties. Frances was a caregiver and worked tirelessly providing care for numerous, ailing family members. She loved fishing; Wintergreen lifesavers; the National Enquirer; and watching Worldwide Wrestling almost constantly. Family gatherings were a way of life, not an occasional event. They were the highlight of her later years.

France’s nightly routine consisted of touring the displayed family photos in her room, and slowly admiring each. Her final glance would be to a portrait of Jesus at which point she would stop and say the Lord’s Prayer. In such, the family finds comfort knowing Frances is with the Lord and will always admiring her family from Heaven.

Viewing will be 2:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday February 10, 2021 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday February 11, 2021 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matt Stubblefield officiating and Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Services are under the
