Eugene Clarence Abbott Jr., 83, went home to be with the Lord on Wednes day, May 26, 2021 at his home in Newalla, Oklahoma.

Eugene was born on January 22, 1938 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to the late Eugene Abbott and Genola Faye (Elliston) Abbott. He graduated from New Lima and joined the U.S. Air Force in May of 1955. When he returned home from Boot Camp, he married the love of his life, Rosie Ivon Westfall.

He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1960 as an Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic.

Preceding him in death are his parents Eugene Abbott and Genola Faye Abbott, son Robert Wayne Abbott, sister Janet Sue Finney, and brother Joseph Dale Abbott.

Survivors include his wife Rosie Ivon Abbott of the home, son John David Abbott Sr. of Tahlequah, daughter Rebecca Lynn Abbott-Mernieks of Newalla, son James Warren Abbott, daughter Rosetta Faye Abbott-Geis, sister Shirley Faye Adcock of OKC, brother Roger Elbert Abbott, brother David Ray Abbott, sister Janice Gallarneau, sister Sharon Annette.

Funeral service will be Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Christian Center, 1121 S. Post Road, Midwest City, Oklahoma 73130. Officiating will be David Dumbleton and Linda Stanberry. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home in Wewoka, Oklahoma.
