On September 22, 2020 Edward Lee “Chebon” Harjo passed from this life to be with his Lord and Savior.

He was a life long resident of Seminole County.

He served in the 45th Division “Thunderbird” in the National Guard out of Wewoka during 1951 till 1980.

On February 13, 1967 he married Lucy Mae Harjo in Wewoka, OK. Edward worked for Big

Edward worked for Big Yank and Wrangler as a laborer and did odd jobs.

He is preceded in death by his parents Nash and Jeanie Knight Harjo, two sons, Curtis Wayne and baby boy Harjo, two brothers Nash Harjo Jr. and Terry West, grandmother Lydia Harjo Thomas and the mom that raised him Hester West, two sisters Ruby Clark Ward and Martha West.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, wife Lucy M. Harjo of 53 years; two sons Eddie Harjo of Shawnee, OK, Russell Harjo of Wewoka, OK; five daughters, Jennie Factor of Shawnee, OK, Janalyn, Rhonda, Dana Harjo all of Wewoka, OK and Patricia Harjo Carrasco of Hayes, Kansas. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Wake service will be 6pm to 8pm Friday September 25, 2020 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Spring Baptist Church, Sasakwa, OK with Pastor Kellos Walker officiating and burial will take place at Spring Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors.
