Edward “Keith” Strickland, Tecumseh resident, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Keith was born on December 10, 1952, in Stratford, Oklahoma, to Edward Leroy and Iris Fern (Eoff) Strickland.

Keith pursued his studies and played baseball at Seminole State College and East Central University. He married Deena Kay Taylor on February 9, 1980 in Stroud, Oklahoma. Keith was the definition of a “selfmade” man. With his keen mind for business, he was self-employed the majority of his adult life. He started and operated several businesses to include being a producer for team roping as well as owning and operating Circle S Trucking. Keith was also a man of faith who knew scripture and demonstrated his faith to his family. He loved his family, especially his kids and took great joy in spoiling his grandkids.

Keith is survived by his loving wife, Deena Strickland; one son, Kasey Strickland of Tecumseh, OK; two daughters, Lacey McCrary and husband, Allen of Earlsboro, OK and McKenzie Trahan and husband, Gage of Shawnee, OK; two sisters, Sandra Ledbetter of Maud, OK and Peggy Wade of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, Kash Strickland, Townes McCrary, Pecas McCrary and Pryor Trahan and many other family and friends.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jeanene Presley; brothersin-law, Johnny Ledbetter and Jimmy Wade.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, OK. Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
