Eddie Dale Cecil, longtime Maud and Seminole area resident, passed away Friday, July 8, 2023 in Seminole at the age of 64.

Eddie was born November 9, 1958 in Coalgate, Oklahoma to William Cecil and Minnie Belle (Wood). He worked many years in the greater Seminole area oil fields for St. Louis Well Service and Mills Well Service. Eddie enjoyed deer hunting, watching John Wayne movies, working on cars, tinkering on just about anything and riding Harleys. Eddie had the gift of gab and enjoyed visiting and talking to just about anyone even if it was just to pester them.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Peggy Haworth; three children, Brandy Cecil, Billy Cecil and Bonnie Cecil; siblings including his sister and caretaker Christine McKee, brother Chad Cecil, sister Janet Simons and brother-in-law Randy and sister Kesandra Sneed; step-children, Ginger, Pamela, Eric and David; seven grandchildren; his two fur-babies Tammy and Dolly, several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father Bill Cecil, mother Minnie Pierce and the mother of his children Debbie Cecil.

The family would like to acknowledge Paulette, Mindy, Jade and Lauren with Centric Hospice for their loving care of Eddie.

Wake services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Bowlegs Assembly of God Church in Bowlegs.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 11:30 at Wilson Family Cemetery in Sasakwa.

Services are under the direction of OK Cremation & Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
