Donna Louise (Vandiver) Knapp was born August 31, 1936 in Seminole, Ok to Ralph Cecil & Arlene (Sinclair) Vandiver Sr. She passed away on March 10, 2021._

Donna married Bobby Gene Knapp June 30, 1962 in Seminole Okla. Bobby was in the Air Force for 28 years so they traveled all over the United States. While stationed in San Antonio, Donna often spoke of her time performing and directing a vocal group called “Skylarks”. Upon Bobby’s military retirement they returned to Oklahoma. Donna was a graduate of Seminole high school. She graduated from The University of Oklahoma completing her Bachelors of Fine Arts and her Masters. While at OU she was Miss Senior 1959 and a member of Alpha Chi Omega social sorority. She also was a drum majorette and even twirled with fire. Donna taught piano lessons for many years. For years, she enjoyed her time volunteering at the thrift shop at Tinker Air Force Base.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bobby and son Steven Knapp, brother and sister- in-law Ralph Cecil Vandiver, Jr. & Marilyn, nephew Kirk Vandiver. She is survived by her sister Mary Jo Hamrick of Parker, Texas; Nieces Beth Petty and husband Richard of Colony, Texas; Vickie Hamrick of Wylie, Texas; Wendy Vandiver of Dallas, Texas; and great nephew, Kyle Petty, Colony, Texas and many cousins.

Memorial contributions can be made to Oklahoma City Community Foundation, P.O. Box 1146, OKC, OK 73101-1146 for the Donna Vandiver Knapp Piano & Vocal Music Scholarship Fund, or Disabled American Veterans.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 12-8 at Barnes & Friederich Funeral Home, 1820 S. Douglas Blvd, Midwest City, OK; Funeral services are Monday, March 15, 2021 at 1:00 at Barnes & Friederich Chapel. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
