Delbert Henry Aldridge, Shawnee, Oklahoma resident, passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on January 17, 2021 at the age of 81. He was born January 1, 1940 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents Ellis Delbert Aldridge and Connie (Payne) Aldridge. He grew up in Wolf, Oklahoma and graduated from Wolf High School. He was a member of the Cherokee Tribe of Oklahoma. Delbert married Barbara Gail Eggar on June 3, 1960 in Wolf, Oklahoma and they raised their family in Seminole. He served his country in the United States Army.

Delbert worked as a system technician for AT&T until his retirement. He enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling. He was a member of the Seminole Methodist Church and Kickapoo Sam’s.

Left to cherish Delbert’s memory are his wife of almost 60 years, Barbara Aldridge of the home in Shawnee, Oklahoma, his daughter; Toni Wittmann of Shawnee, Oklahoma, his brother; Gary Aldridge and his wife Carol, grandchildren; Cody L. Wittmann, Joseph K. Wittmann and Kelli Gail Aldridge, great-grandson; Joseph L. Wittman and great-granddaughter on the way; Remy Wittmann. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers; J.W., Toby and Gilbert Aldridge, his son; Keith Aldridge and his daughter; Tristan Aldridge.

Funeral services for Delbert will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 21 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Wolf Cemetery. Arrangements are under
