Debra Elaine Washington, Seminole resident, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 in Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 66. Debra was born on July 12, 1956 in Wichita, Kansas to Johnell Clinton Nero and Beverly Ann (Roney) Nero.

Debra married King David Washington on August 27, 1975 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was known to be a great cook and homemaker. She was passionate about her beliefs and goals. Debra was a loving and dedicated mother.

Debra is survived by her ex-husband and devoted caretaker, King David Washington; sons, King David Washington III and wife, Marites Dizon of Texas and Mark A. Washington and wife, Melissa of Wewoka; daughter, Nicole Andrea Neal and husband, Brian of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters, Resheedia Thrash and husband, Louis, Carlas McDonnel and husband, Melvin, Tonda Nero and Angelia Nero; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and many other and family and friends.

Debra was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Ann Nero; father, Johnell Clinton Nero; one brother and one sister.

A memorial graveside service will be planned at a later date at Five Mile Cemetery in Hennepin, Oklahoma. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
