Leaving behind only memories and our broken hearts God called Deborah (Debbie) Ann Darr Whitt home on November 2, 2022. Debbie went home to her Lord and Savior after a 7-year battle with Cushing’s Disease.

Debbie was born on July 23, 1971, in Wewoka, OK, to Corky Darr and Jenny Darr Fairbanks. She graduated from Seminole High School in 1989 and went on to marry the love of her life, Eric Shawn Whitt on August 12, 1989, at Trinity Baptist Church. Debbie was a mother of one, Caleb James Whitt, born February 16, 1990, but loved and claimed hundreds of area youth during her 30 years in her Child Care profession. Debbie’s skillset and passion quickly earned her a promotion track of Teacher, Assistant Director, and Director, with a final promotion of District Manager which she held for 18 years. She managed seven centers across the state of Oklahoma including, Seminole, Choctaw, Shawnee and OKC. During these 18 years, she advanced all her centers through earning a 3 Star Child Care Accreditation, which is the highest national rating a Child Care Facility can earn.

Debbie had a deep passion for life, family, and her faith. She loved music and after retiring her garage rock band, moved on to sing with the Fairview Baptist Church Worship team. Debbie greatly enjoyed swimming at the YMCA in Shawnee, with her fitness group. She was a self-confessed shopaholic, and loved venturing to various boutiques, Target and of course Amazon and Pat Pat online, while always buying for others. Her favorite vacations were on a beach, enjoying the warmth of the sun, sound of waves, snorkeling and people watching. Only fitting that Debbie’s ashes will be laid on one of her favorite beaches.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Eric Whitt of the home and one son, Caleb Whitt, of Seminole, OK; her mother, Jenny Fairbanks and Step Father, Mike Fairbanks, of Shawnee, OK; sister, Rita Casey and brother-inlaw, Kelly Casey of Seminole, OK; brother-in-law, TJ Whitt of Stringtown, OK; step-sister Kristina Degraffenreid and brother- in-law Steve Degraffenreid, of Edmond, OK; and nephew, Trent Casey and niece, Jessica Casey of Shawnee, OK; father in law, Tommy Whitt and mother-in-law, Tena Whitt, of Seminole, OK; sisterin- law, Saucy Thompson and brother-in-law, John Thompson; niece, Bethany Allen and nephew, Jalon Allen; niece Keeley Ebeling and nephew Troy Ebeling; nephew, Isaiah Thompson and niece, Dominique Thompson; niece Miracle Thompson and nephew, Adams Knowley; all of Rolla, MO; Special Aunt, Debbie Darr and Uncle, Tim Darr, of Seminole, OK; childcare daughters, Tyanna Carlisle, and Meghan Hallmark, of Seminole, Ok; and many more aunts, uncles and cousins.
