Shawnee resident David Lee Fry, 72, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at his home.

Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tornado Alley Bulldog Rescue ( https:// tornadoalleyok.org/donate ).

David was born November 1, 1950, in DeRidder, LA to Lee Fry and Barbara (Brown) Fry. He graduated from Broken Arrow High School and earned a Doctorate from Southwestern University in 1975. David married Paula Ford on July 31, 1976, in OKC. He began his career as a pharmacist with Bestyet Pharmacy in Seminole. He purchased and operated Star Pharmacy in Shawnee and later purchased Bestyet Pharmacy in Seminole. David sold his business and worked as a pharmacist for Homeland in Seminole.

He enjoyed traveling, O.S.U. sports, scuba diving, gardening, baking, bulldogs, and happy hour at Sonic. David was an Eagle Scout, a member of Kappa Psi Fraternity, Southwestern State Alumni Association, and a member of the Oklahoma Pharmacists Association.

David was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Fry of the home, two children, Adam Fry and wife Lindsay of Fuquay, NC and Meagen Fry of Owasso, OK, one grandchild, Kelton Fry of Fuquay, NC, three brothers, Johnny and Kathy Fry of Broken Arrow, Larry and Saen Fry of Sand Springs, and Ted Fry of Stillwater, brother-in-law, Bill and Linda Clark of Blanchard, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral & Cremation Service of Shawnee.
