Danny Lee Woody, of Prague, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022, at home, surrounded by family, at the age of 74. Danny was born on Friday, January 2, 1948 in Prague. He was the son of Jessie Daniel and Mattie Lee (Ellis) Woody. He attended Prairie Valley and Strother High School, graduating in 1966. Danny married Mary Cassie Aldridge on June 10, 1967.

In August of 1967, Danny was drafted into the United States Army, where he served on the Combat Infantry in Vietnam. Following his military service, Danny went to work in the oil field. He worked as a Down Hole Treater. He retired from Baker Hughes in 2010, after many years of service. Danny was an avid outdoorsman. He rarely spent his downtime inside. He enjoyed fishing, especially at the river and hunting for coyotes. He was a member of the Oklahoma Fox and Wolf Hunters Association for many years. He also enjoyed working in his garden.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Jack Woody, Joe Woody and Ken Woody and one sister, Lou Kilroy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Woody; one son, Keith Woody; one sister, Patty Sue Hall and three grandchildren, Kaylee May Hacker, Haley Jo Hacker and Jacob Davis Hacker. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague. Burial will immediately follow at Keokuk Cemetery. The family will accept guest from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
