Curtis Chandler

Curtis Lyn Chandler (Kirby) passed away on July 6, 2025 in Casa Grande, Arizona at the age of 77.

Curtis was born on April 9, 1948 to Claudie and Lorene Chandler. He graduated from Seminole High School in 1967. He married Carolyn Willis, and they had a daughter, Christie Dawn Chandler.

In 1967 he also joined the Army, serving in Vietnam where he was wounded. He was also stationed in Okinawa and Belgium. Curtis served 20 years in the Army before retiring.

Later in life, he met and married Patricia, who was also retired from the Army. Growing up, Kirby and his sister were in Seminole Roundup Club and rode in many parades, rodeos and play days. He also worked with a rodeo clown where he was the clown in the barrel.

Kirby is survived by his wife Pat; his daughter Christie and son-in-law David; stepson Scott; his 98-year-old mother Lorene Chandler; sister Marifloy Chandler; nephew Steven Files; niece Jamie Jone; 3 great nephews; and a great niece.

Kirby was cremated and his ashes spread where he and Pat spent their honeymoon in Arizona.
