Connie Lou Weems, 89, lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life, on July 21, 2020 in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Connie was born on July 12, 1931 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Orville Francis” Jelly” Conner and Mamie (Eberle) Conner.

Connie was a lifelong resident of Seminole and attended and graduated from Seminole High School in 1949, and later attended Draughon School of Business in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Connie and Bill were married on December 29, 1950 at the First Church of God Church in Seminole, Oklahoma, with a wedding reception following at her father’s restaurant “ Jelly’s Café” in Seminole.

Bill preceded her in death on October 29, 1991.

Connie was the owner and operator of Bill Weems Oil in Seminole, Oklahoma, alongside her husband Billy Ray “Bill “Weems who founded the company. She also owned and operated Bill Weems Cattle Company. Connie loved all types

Connie loved all types of music, loved to entertain and have large family meals. She was a very active member of the Seminole Church of God (Heartland Family Church) in Seminole, Oklahoma.

She was a member of the “OIPA”, Oklahoma Independent Producers Association of Oklahoma, and was named “Oil Woman of the Year” by the Seminole Oil Museum in 2002.

Connie is remembered by her family as a virtuous woman, she was kind, generous, hardworking, not selfish, and faithful to the Lord. She always extended a helping hand to her family and others as well.

Connie loved going to concerts, loved to work, which was her life, loved to go shopping and loved the oilfield and all the fine people and colleagues she met over the years.

Connie is survived by her two daughters; Terry Swearingen and her husband Bob of Seminole, Oklahoma and Sheila Parks of Seminole, her sister, Pama Henley Nowlin and Clark of Wister, Oklahoma, sisterin-law, Glenda Conner of Seminole, Oklahoma, her grandchildren Sassy Lindley and Chris of Seminole, Beau Swearingen and Lori of Seminole, Oklahoma, Jade Parks and Angie of Prague, Oklahoma, Kash Parks of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kristi Edgmon, Roxie Brewer and Kassie Weems all of Corpus Christi, Texas and numerous great grandchildren. She was also survived by a host of other family and friends that will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mamie and Jelly Conner, her husband, Bill Weems, her son Rocky Weems, her sister Donna Lee, and her brother Ronnie Conner.

Celebration of Life Services for Connie will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 24, 2020 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma, with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, east of Seminole on Highway # 270.

Pallbearers will be Bob Swearingen, Beau Swearingen, Chris Lindley, Jade Parks, Kash Parks, Ricky Conner, Trace Conner, Damon Henley and Derek Henley.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
