Clara Streeter

Clara Wanda (Stubbs) Streeter, passed away at the age of 85 on January 31, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma after a short illness. Clara was born November 3, 1935 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents T.E. Stubbs and Estas (Tigner) Stubbs. She graduated from Seminole High School in 1953. She married Lewis A. Streeter in December of 1975 and they made their home in Mustang, Oklahoma. She spent most of her working life at Kerr-McGee and Western Electric (AT&T) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Clara was well known and beloved in both the communities of Mustang and Seminole with countless family, friends and acquaintances.

Clara was a longtime member of the Cheyraha Presbyterian Church, east of Seminole. She was an avid Thunder basketball fan, enjoyed collecting antiques and going to garage sales. Her proudest accomplishment was her five grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

Clara is survived by her daughter; Nancy Redding of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, sons; Tim Parsons of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jeff Parsons of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, grandchildren; Brittani Redding Wilson of Dallas, Texas, Amber Parsons Metcalf of Olympia, Washington, Alyssa Parsons Crijns of Austin, Texas, Cole Parsons of Houston, Texas and Addison Parsons of Edmond, Oklahoma and great-grandchildren; Rowan, Everett and Ruby. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Lewis Streeter and her parents T.E. and Estas Stubbs.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, 1001 N. Milt Phillips Avenue in Seminole, Oklahoma. Internment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, east of Seminole on Highway 270. For those unable to attend the chapel service, they are welcome to go to the cemetery for the committal.

The family is requesting all who attend to practice social distancing and wear masks that completely cover the nose and mouth.

The funeral service in the chapel will be streamed live on the Swearingen Funeral Home Facebook page.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
