Charles Ryan
Ryan Charles Patrick Ryan, 56, of Royse City, Texas was called home to be with the Lord on April 14, 2024. He leaves behind his loving wife of 24 years, Susan Ryan, married on July 1st, 2000, his five children, April Dampf and Husband Kevin Dampf, Patrick Ryan and partner Kianah Vivier, Erika Booth and partner Kord Williams, Ian Booth and wife Raven Booth, and Katelyn Ryan and partner Tyler Ruby. Grandchildren: Laeton Ryan, Noah Donnelly, Ian Loudermilk, and Ivy Ryan. Sister: Rhonda Jones and husband Wes Jones. Nieces and Nephews: Jasmine Nguyen and husband Vuong Nguyen, Kacie Vasquez, Reba Ryan and partner Jon Correll, and David Gainer. Great Niece and Nephew: Hayleigh and Sean Correll He is preceded in death by Grandfather: Charles Harjo of Sasakwa, OK, Grandmother: Eloise Harjo of Sasakwa, OK, Mother: Lahoma Bise of Sasakwa, OK, Aunt Charlyn Starry of Oklahoma and Uncle Johnny Notah of New Mexico.
Charles (Clutch/Chuck) Ryan was born on July 16th,1967 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He went on to attend school in the Sasakwa School District for 11 years. Charles was a member of several clubs, as well as served as a leader in those clubs for several years. Charles served in the 4-H Club, FFA, and Student Council. In addition to serving as a leader in these clubs, Charles was a beloved member of the basketball and baseball teams, where he later received his favorite nickname, Clutch. Charles not only succeeded in volunteering and sports, but he also achieved in academics. Charles was a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society, “Who’s Who of American High School Students,” National Honors Society, Superintendent’s Honor Roll, and the Principal’s Honor Roll. Charles was named Salutatorian of his graduating class.
Upon completing high school, Charles enlisted in the Navy, where he was later honorably discharged as a Data Processing Technician as a Petty Officer 2nd class on December 10th, 1999. Charles served his country for 5 years, earning the National Defense Service Medal, the Navy Good Conduct Medal, the Kuwait Liberation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
After the Navy, Charles attended Colorado Technical University, earning a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. Charles was exceptionally passionate about technology and the IT industry, spending several years in pursuit of the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert certification. On February 24th, 2014, Charles achieved his lifelong dream of holding this certification.
In his free time, Charles loved to read books of all genres, collect baseball cards, watch Gunsmoke, Twilight Zone, or X-Files on the television, crack silly jokes with his loved ones, listen to music with his daughter, Katelyn, and spend time with his loving wife and children.
A viewing will be held Sunday, April 21st, 2024 from 1pm to 5pm. Services will be held at Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa, OK on Monday April 22nd, 2024 at 2pm.
