Charles Clyma

Charles Clyma, 75, of Seminole, OK, passed away on February 25, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK after a battle with cancer.

Charles was born on November 26, 1948 to Fred and Lennie (Tipton) Clyma in Keota, OK. After finishing high school, he enlisted in the US Army and served his country in Vietnam. After he served two tours in Vietnam, he lived in Mountain View, CA with his first wife Diane and their two children Sandi and Chris. After his divorce, Charles moved back to his home state of Oklahoma.

While working on the road as a truck driver he stopped at a truck stop in Missouri and noticed a beautiful woman. He walked up and introduced himself. It was in that very moment he realized he had met the love of his life, Pat. They married on December 31, 1988 and lived happily in Seminole, OK.

After retiring in 2021, Charles spent his time going to local auctions, having coffee with the guys at McDonalds and giving Pat a hard time.

Charles was predeceased in death by his parents, Fred and Lennie, daughter, Sandi, siblings; Julie Mae, Lois, Polly, Elmer Ray, Virginia, Vivian, Margie and Kenneth.

He is survived by his wife Pat Clyma of Seminole, OK, son, Chris Clyma and his wife Rebecca of Blanchard, OK; grandson, Cody Clyma and his wife Elisabeth of Blanchard, OK; grandson, Brady Clyma of Blanchard, OK; granddaughter, Katelynn Tinnell of Austin, TX; grandson, Matthew Sanchez of Seminole, OK; granddaughter, Madisyn Lewis of Oklahoma City, OK; stepson, Jared Hoehman of Shawnee, OK; stepson, Lee Hoehman and wife Shirley of Houston, TX, their two boys Dillon and Ryan and great grandkids, Nova and Lucas; sister Janice Douglas of Portola, CA; and several nieces, nephews, friends and fellow truck drivers.

A come and go Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 9th starting at 11:00am and continuing throughout the afternoon at the family home in Seminole.
