Charles “Gabby” Edward Mitchell arrived at the end of his journey of 69 years on June 7, 2022 at Seminole Alliance Hospital. Chester Otto Mitchell and Lottie Clark Mitchell welcomed Gabby into the world on July 13, 1952 to begin his journey.

One of his favorite places to hang out, besides his front porch smoking a cigarette, was the I-40 casino. After becoming ill, Gabby enjoyed watching westerns, listening to gospel music and watching his grandchildren play.

Gabby is survived by one daughter, Gina Bender; two sons, Ronald Bender and Robert Mitchell; one step-daughter, Tina Washington; one step-son, Joshua Harrison; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and relatives. Preceding him in death are his parents and one daughter, Marie Daniels Roubideaux.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Seminole Care and Rehab for caring for Gabby the last six months.
