Cecil Teter, Sr.

Cecil Ray Teter, Sr., Maud resident, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at his home, at the age of 67. Cecil was born on April 19, 1955.

Cecil married Lavonna Sue Works-Teter on April 6, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma. Cecil loved taking care of his dog, Bossy. He also enjoyed tinkering with things.

Cecil is survived by his wife, Lavonna of the home; son, Cecil Teter Jr.; stepson, Matthew Works; two grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Cecil was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Melvin and his first wife, Judy Ann Teter.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma with Pastor Butch Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
