Brasier Carrie Jean “C.J.” Brasier, formerly of Seminole, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, in Rockwall, Texas.

C.J., the daughter of Haskell and Freeda (Knappenberger) McClure, was born March 14, 1942, in Shawnee. C.J. was a waitress most of her life and spent several years at Nita’s Cafe in Seminole. She married Terry Boen and their union produced three children, she later married Charles Hover which resulted in the birth of her fourth. Being a military wife, C.J. and her family moved frequently. She loved gardening and generally being outdoors; she also enjoyed to travel and loved being with her grandchildren. In 2015, C.J. was diagnosed with dementia, in April of 2017, after the death of her husband, Cliff Brasier, C.J. moved to Plano, Texas to live with her daughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Homer “Clay” McClure, Haskell “Chub” McClure, Verldine “Geri” Huston.

C.J. is survived by her son, Terry Boen, of Seminole; daughters and sonsin- law, Kellea Akkah-Okkeh, and David, of Plano, TX., Donita Parker and Jackie of Meeker, OK., and Keisha Hover-Bachman and Mitch of Cape Coral, FL.; grandchildren, Bilal Okkeh, Malik Okkeh and Nabiha Khan, Cara O’Neal and Brant Fisher, Jackilyn and Brandon Crosthwait, and Justin and Katy Parker, Jordan and Dalton Hutchinson, Jesse Bachman, Jayme Bachman and Kyle Boen; great grandchildren, Alizay Okkeh, Umaiza Okkeh, Inayah Okkeh, Kaylee Fryar, Korbyn Peltier, Jaycee O’Neal, Scotlyn Crosthwait, Blake Columbus, Jaydin Parker, Jaxtyn O’Neal, Jayce O’Neal, Ember Parker, Laken Parker, Kassi Fisher, and Carsin, Caden and Cora; along with numerous other family and friends.

C.J.’s family will be available for visitation, Friday, October 6, from 5:00 P.M. ~ 7:00 P.M., at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.

Services will be Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 2:00 P.M., at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma, with Carl Whitfield officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
