Carol Votaw

Carol Ann Votaw, age 60, left this life at her home in Seminole, Oklahoma on September 11, 2020.

She was born August 30, 1960 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to parents Essie Nixon Votaw, Jr. and Loretta (McGirt) Votaw.

Carol was a high school graduate and later worked as a cook at Pleasant Grove School in Seminole County.

Carol leaves to cherish her memory, her son; Justin Miles Harjo, brothers; Cecil Votaw, James Votaw, sisters; Katherine McGirt of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Ramona Johnson of Seminole, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her parents; E.N. Votaw, Jr and Loretta Votaw, brothers; Charles Votaw and Curtis Votaw, son; Christopher Votaw, grandparents; John McGirt, Alice McGirt, Essie Nixon Votaw, Sr. and Stella Votaw.

Viewing for Carol was held Monday, September 14, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, September 15, 2020 until the service time at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.

The funeral for Carol will be at 2:00 p.m., September 15, 2020 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Houston Tiger and Jason Tiger officiating. Burial will follow at Wolf Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
