Carl Eugene Crelia age 79, passed away Saturday, July 23rd, 2022 in Holdenville, OK. He was born October 17th, 1942 in McAlester, OK to the late Floyd and Nadine (Ponder) Crelia. Carl was raised farming peanuts on the South Canadian River East of Lamar, OK.

From austere beginnings with no electricity or running water, Carl was able to demonstrate his genius in the field of electronics designing several innovative solutions in the communications industry. He was a very talented guitar player and an avid pilot. Carl was a dependable and loving husband and father. After marrying and having their first child, he and his wife Barbara moved to Los Angeles where Carl became a police office for the LAPD. He often talked about being assigned bodyguard duties for celebrities such as Elkie Sommer and Robert Kennedy. After moving back to Seminole County, Carl worked as a policeman for Seminole, and Wewoka Police departments and started a business maintaining the radio communications systems for the area. As a pilot and technician, he contracted for the FAA maintaining navigational aids at several airports in the state. He retired as a communications technician and business owner after many years in Seminole County.

Carl is preceded in death by parents, wife Barbara Sue (Boatman) Crelia, and brother, Bob Crelia.

He is survived by his wife Donna (Gray) Crelia, children, Dwayne Crelia and wife Penny of Seminole, OK, Michael Crelia of Yuma, AZ, Jerry Crelia and Milisa, of Waco, TX, Lisa Black, of Wewoka, OK, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

Memorial service to be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 30th, 2022 at the Church of Christ in Wewoka, OK with Gage Coldwater officiating.
