Bryon “Pepe” Jeffrey Machado of Seminole, died Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the age of 66.

Bryon, the son of John and Midge (Hargrave) Machado, was born April 15, 1955 in Oxnard California.

He graduated from the Santa Clara High School in Oxnard, California class of 1974.

Shortly after high school the Machado family moved to Seminole. Bryon attended Oklahoma State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in political science. With a desire to teach, Bryon went to East Central University and received his teaching certificate. After his teaching career, Bryon volunteered several years at the Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum under his beloved friend Marci Donaho.

Bryon loved music; he was particularly a fan of music from the 60s; he also enjoyed watching movies; he was a student of classic films.

Bryon loved his English bulldogs, reading and watching Jeopardy. Between his passion for learning and his interest in music, movies and reading, Bryon was the “family’s Google”, when they had a question, they would ask him, and he usually had the answer.

Bryon was a proud member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Seminole.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Matthew.

Bryon is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Cindy Machado of Miami, OK, George and Renee Machado, of Racine, WI, Pat and Debra Machado of Grover Beach, CA, Kernon and Melanie Machado of Tuttle, OK, and Mark and Kathie Machado of Seminole, OK; sister, Anne Machado of Seminole, OK; thirteen nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews; lifelong friend Jose Covarrubias; and many other family and friends.

Pallbearers are John Machado, George Machado, Pat Machado, Mark Machado, and nephews.

A rosary service will be Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 7:00 PM, at Swearingen Funeral Chapel.

Catholic burial Mass will be Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 10:00 AM, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Seminole with Father Joseph Schwartz officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
