Brandon Hart Benton, age 38, from Wewoka, OK, passed away on October 13th 2020.

Brandon grew up in Oklahoma with a huge family; he graduated from Wewoka High School, continued his education with two Associates Degrees, one Bachelors Degree, and one Masters Degree, along with countless certifications and qualifications throughout his Air Force Career.

Brandon was proud to be a Benton; he loved America, loved the Constitution, and was an advocate for people’s rights as they are granted in the country’s founding documents.

MSgt Brandon Benton joined the Air Force in 2002 as an Intelligence Analyst and served at five bases, on over a dozen deployments across three continents, and in an elite unit in Air Force Special Operations Command. He was proud to have worked with nearly every Special Operations unit, nearly every Intelligence Agency, worked with his Congressman to address human trafficking concerns, and even brokered an agreement between American Forces and Turkey’s National Security Council.

He was respected and loved by nearly every single person in his career.

He would never just sit quietly if others were doing the wrong thing – he held them accountable.

He was the voice of his team, they counted on him, and Brandon would stand up to anyone - he was fearlessly dedicated to his ideals. Brandon was dedicated to his work, but even more so to his family.

He was a family-man that poured himself into loving his wife, three children, two dogs, and even a cat. They took trips, created traditions, built projects, and together they learned how to be the right kind of people.

He was rooted in Oklahoma, rooted in country living, rooted in family, and rooted in love.

Brandon is survived by his wife, Katy L. Benton; children, Ryan C. Benton, Brianna N. Benton, and Alexis N. Benton; parents, Wendy S. Argo and Joseph L. Benton III; step-parents, Katherine L. Benton and Fred B. Argo; siblings, Tyler H. Benton, Jessica R. Anderson, Katherine M. Keesee and James, Logan G. Harp, Aaron D. Argo; and numerous other family members and friends.

He would say to everyone, “Stand for something and defend it tirelessly, love deeply, and fight the man!”

A celebration of Brandon’s life will be 10:00 a.m. Monday October 26, 2020 at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, OK. Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Wewoka, Oklahoma.
