Bonnie Lounell Wheeler of Shawnee, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the age of 69.

Bonnie, the daughter of Raymond and Bonnie (Russell) Lanham, was born September 18, 1951 in Stuart.

Bonnie went to school in Stuart and Hydro, before ultimately graduating from Holdenville High School.

She married Don Wheeler on February 20, 1970 in Holdenville.

Bonnie and Don shared 47 years of marriage prior to his passing on October 24, 2017.

Bonnie enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, reading Karen Kingsbury books and watching Hallmark movies and sold Avon for over 30 years.

Bonnie also loved music; playing the piano, singing, and going with Don to Saturday night gospel singings, were some of her favorite things, but nothing was as important to Bonnie as spending time with her family.

Bonnie spent her adult years living in the Seminole/Shawnee area. She was a proud member of Cornerstone Assembly in Shawnee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Everett Lanham; sisters, Mary Holland and Ruby John; a daughter, Kay Carter; and a grandson, Nathanyal Wheeler.

Bonnie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Amy Wheeler of Bethany; daughters and son-in-law, Lynn Miller of Sullivan, Missouri, and Amy and Scott Johnson, of Moore; on sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Jimmy Lee of McAlister; 17 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren, and many other family and friends.

Viewing will begin Thursday afternoon and there will be a visitation with the family present on Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:00.

Services will be Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM, at the Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole, with Jim Moreland officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM, at Bohannon Cemetery in Stuart.

Pall bearers will be David Wilson, Josh Delk, Aron Stringfellow, Colton Glasgow, Donny Armitage, and J.D. Carter.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
