Billy Hooker passed from this life Jan. 20th, 2023 at the age of 64 in his home surrounded by his family and their love after a short bout with cancer. He was born Feb. 13, 1959 in Roswell, NM to Doris Austin and Bud Hooker. Billy was a graduate of Maud High School in 1978. He married the love of his life Doreena Marx in 1978.

A memorial for Billy will be held Saturday Jan. 27th, 2023 at Trinity Baptist church in Maud, OK. Dinner will be at 11:30 am with service to follow at 1 pm. Everyone is invited to join the family after the service at Billy’s beloved Hooker Hill to continue the celebration of his life.

Billy worked in the oilfield from 1976 to 1998 when he was injured and forced to retire. He then completely remodeled his home to give Doreena her dream home, Hooker Hill. He was a Mr. Fixit, frequently helping family and friends. He remained interested in the oilfield, frequently visiting rigs running in the area. He loved having family gatherings and being surrounded by his family and many friends. His hobby was gardening. He thoroughly enjoyed seeing how large & potent he could grow his plants.

He was preceded in death by both parents and his much-loved brothers, Johnny Warr and Floyd Hooker.

Billy is survived by his wife, Doreena, his sons, Willie Hooker & Waylon Hooker, and his wife Rebekah; his much-loved grandchildren, Blade Adams, Abby Hooker, Bud Hooker, Isabell Hooker, Alex Hooker and Jordan Hooker; two sisters, Mary Dunlap & Beverly Hooker; his special mother-in-law, Dorothy Burton & sister-inlaw Suzi France and her husband Pete along with a host of other family and friends.

Billy will be greatly missed by his family and his little dog Ross. Services are under the direction of OK Cremation & Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
