Barbara Ann (Sandel) Jones, age 83 passed away Monday, August 31, 2021 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2021 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel of Konawa, Oklahoma. Chaplain Keith Cole will officiate, and burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery.
Barbara was born January 21, 1938, in Huntsville, Texas to Lee Harrison Sandel and Susie Cornelia (Thomas) Sandel.
She attended East Central University receiving her Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degrees in Education Administration.
She is survived by three daughters, Deborah Morse of, Alaska, Angela Walker of Austin, Texas, and Brenda Dye of Shawnee, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, and six great grand children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Susie “Connie” Sandel; her husband, Oscar Douglas Jones on August 10, 2011; four brothers, John, Lee, Charles, and Robert; four sisters, Louise, Margie, Dorothy, and Rena; and one grandson, C. Douglas Jones.
