Barbara Jean Nelson

Nelson Barbara Jean Nelson, Seminole resident, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025 in Seminole at the age of 81 Barbara is survived by her son, Leon Marlow of Seminole, OK; daughters Barbara Ladely of Seminole, OK and Deborah Gore of Seminole, OK; brother Olan Wingate of South Carolina; sister Ann Cogburn of Rockwall, TX; seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father Mozelle Conyers; mother Mary Muncy; brothers Bud Conyers, Preston Conyers, Herbert “Pee Wee” Conyers and Jimmy Wingate; granddaughter Misty Smith and great great grandson Monty Bailey.

Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025 and from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, OK with Pastors Jimmy and Nita Moreland officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
