Arneitha (Thompson) Jones went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, January 6, 2020 in Holdenville, OK at the age of 89 years.

She was born October 30, 1930 in Wewoka, OK to the late Homer Thompson Sr. and Castella Johnson Thompson.

She received her education from Douglas High School and later received her LPN licenses from Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech.

On June 1, 1946 she married Eddie Kerman Jones Sr. in Wewoka, OK and too this union twelve children were born.

Ms. Jones worked for Porter Nursing Home, Wewoka, OK as an LPN for 17 years and 13 years with Oakridge Nursing Home before retiring to become a housewife, and grandmother . She was not only a mother to her children, but was a mother to several of her grandchildren. She was a member of St. John AME Methodist Church, Wewoka, OK.

Preceding Arneitha in death are her parents, husband, children Eddie Kerman Jones Jr., Gary Jones, Judith Payne, Vincent Jones, Janice Jamerson, sisters Valerie Street, Jean Madkins, Homer Thompson Jr., grandson Mackilee Samilton III, Kamash Nash and Eric Jones.

Those left to cherish Arneitha memories are one brother Alfred Thompson of Houston, TX; one sister, Willie Mae Jones of Seattle, WA: children, Carolyn Jones, Paul Jones Sr.., Margaret Samilton, Shiela Jones, all of Wewoka, LaTrease Posey of Lima, OK, and Peggy Jones of Shawnee, OK and a host of (113) grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2020 at First United Methodist Church, Wewoka, OK and burial at Shiloh Cemetery.
