Alvie Thomas “Tommie” Rammage, former Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away at the age of 82 on March 13, 2021 at his home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born November 28, 1938 in Felt, Oklahoma to parents Tom I. Rammage and Molly “Virginia” (Thrash) Rammage. He married Vera Montgomery on May 28, 1959 in Seminole, Oklahoma. He was a high school graduate and after a short time in Arkansas, he moved to Seminole where he started college at Seminole Junior College and received is Master’s Degree in Education from East Central University.

Tommie was a middle school teacher for Seminole Public Schools until his retirement. He enjoyed cattle and horses. He was a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church. Tommie and Vera instilled in their children the love for God and family and were great role models for them.

Tommie is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Vera Rammage of the home, his sons: Kirk Alan Rammage and his wife Marni of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Keith Dane Rammage and his wife Sharon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, his brother; Nolan Rammage and his wife Betty of Houston, Texas and grandchildren; Kathryn and Joshua Rammage. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services for Tommie will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Will Macsas officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma. The funeral service will be streamed live on the Swearingen Funeral Home Facebook page.
