Allie Jo Cummings, 91, went to be with our Lord and Savior Sunday October 31, 2021 at her home in Graham. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 5, 2021 in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Jo was born December 20, 1929 in Durant, Oklahoma to the late William Edwards and Josie (Manning) Mathews.

Jo worked for Morrison Smith Lumber Company and Morris Stephens as a bookkeeper. Before retirement she also worked for Zack Burkett Company.

Jo was a lifetime member of the Women’s Club of Graham and a member of First Presbyterian Church. Everyone knew her as Jo, but her granddaughter and great grandchildren called her “Mama Jo”.

She was a devoted Oklahoma Sooner fan and loved watching their football games. She was a wonderful Mom, “Mama Jo” and friend to many.

Survivors include; daughter, Paula Cummings O’Bryan of Graham; granddaughter, Misty Ward and husband Kirk of Weatherford; great grandchildren, Avery and Bryce Ward; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends also survive.

Jo was preceded in death by a son, Larry Dee Cummings; brothers, Claude, Clyde, and Bill Mathews; sisters, Edna Mathews and Helen Summers; special friend and father of their children Jerry Dee Cummings.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or Saint Labre or Saint Joseph Indian Schools.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 4th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
