Women on Mission Holds Meeting

Posted in:

Women on Mission met on 5-27-21 at Patti Prater’s home. Patti Prater opened with a call to prayer and the missionaries that had birthdays today. Our Scripture was Deuteronomy 10:12-22 and we focused on Deuteronomy 10:18. If we took a good look at our community these days then we would recognize America’s melting pot continues to grow. People from every part of the world now live here. Some arrive with sufficient resources to manage on their own. Vast numbers, especially from areas of ongoing turmoil, come with little more than the terror of their past and fear for their future. Regardless of their previous positions, they must start over in an unknown custom. Needs vary from the basics of food, clothing, and shelter to assistance in accessing local resources or help in overcoming language barriers. Educational and employment opportunities remain limited until they settle into their new homes. What an opportunity you possess to reach out in Jesus’ name to new friends who know little or nothing about Him. He loves you. Would you join Him in showing that love? Would you help them understand their greatest need is a relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ, the light of the World? Phyllis Williamson read us a story on Equipping the Arab Women of Today. The ladies present were Patti Pratter, Ruby Bevelhymer, Maria Benton, Joyce Tucker, Karissa Tucker, Shirley HIll, Marissa Turner. This was our last meeting until the Fall. Patti Prater served Coke Floats in the memory of Anna Perkins. We closed our last meeting wishing all a great & safe summer. We will resume Women On Mission in September.
