Women on Mission Hold Meeting
Women on Mission met March 9 in the Wewoka First Baptist Church Parlor.
Phyllis Williamson welcomed the ladies, and Leslie Scott read the list of those having birthdays.
The ladies studied the passage Psalm 34: 4-10 and focused on Psalm 34:4: Let’s shift our focus to petitioning God for help. How amazing is our God who desires that we cry out to Him! The words of David, the psalmist, invite us to join him in exalting the Lord. Why? Because he sought the Lord and the Lord answered him. God delivered him from his fears and God delivers us. Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. God provides. According to His will, He answers when we call.
He wants us to be strong and confident in His provision. This passage reminds me our faith is like that of little children. How often do we comfort our small children or grandchildren in their fears and uncertainties? We should come to God in that same way. Pray for matters on your heart, your fears and your worries. He hears you and wants to be your deliverer.
Ladies present were Phyllis Williamson, Ruby Bevelhymer, Joyce Tucker, Leslie Scott, Maria Benton, Ginger Ryan and Karissa Tucker. The hostess was Maria Benton, who served the ladies unsweet tea, coffee, a cup of sweets, key lime pie and pineapple Cake.
Their next meeting will be March 23 at 1 p.m.
