Wewoka Banker Recognized for 50 years of Service

Posted in:

Dale Nichols was among 14 Oklahoma bankers inducted into the Oklahoma Bankers Association 50-Year Club during the awards brunch at the OBA’s Annual Convention on May 26 at the Omni Hotel in Oklahoma City.

Nichols moved to Wewoka in 1971, where Nichols’ father-in-law offered him his first job at First National Bank. Throughout his tenure with FNB Wewoka, Nichols learned all aspects of community banking, and was elected president of the bank in 1989. He served in that capacity until 2018, and cur rently serves as a board member for the bank.

The club is comprised of individuals who’ve devoted 50 years or more of service to Oklahoma’s banking industry. The OBA is proud to recognize this special group of banking professionals who’ve dedicated themselves to this profession and contributed so much to this industry.
