Varnum Lady Whippets and Whippets Basketball Teams to Compete at Districts
The Varnum Lady Whippets will compete at Districts at 6 p.m. Saturday against the winner of Friday’s McComb vs. Calvin game.
The Lady Whippets are working toward their fifth consecutive trip to the state tournament. They were the state runner ups in 2020 and state champions in 2019.
They are currently ranked number three and have a win-loss record of 17-4. The four losses this year were all to Top 10 teams in larger classes.
The Varnum Whippets will compete at Districts this Saturday at 8 p.m. against the winner of Friday’s game between Macomb and Calvin.

The Whippets have been ranked number one all season and have a win-loss record of 18-3. Their only losses have been to Dale (2A ranked number one), Cashion (2A ranked number three) and Community Christian (ranked number four).
