UCO to Host Administrative Support Professionals Academy

Posted in:

The University of Central Oklahoma Educator’s Leadership Academy (ELA) will host its 2023 Administrative Support Professionals Academy from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, in the Nigh University Center, located on Central’s campus.

Now in its 13th year, the Administrative Support Professionals Academy is designed to provide administrative support professionals with tools to enhance performance and create meaningful experiences.

This one-day event will feature keynote speaker, Daniel Suda, a higher education professional focused on alumni engagement, volunteer management and diversity and inclusion. His presentation, “Building Your Brand Through Inclusion and Strengths,” will take participants through an interactive and dynamic workshop to finding personal strengths and brand discovery.

“This academy will take individuals through the journey of discovering their talents, knowledge and skills to identify strengths,” said Mary Howard, director of ELA at Central.

“It’s powerful to have this insight about yourself and how you can impact those positively around you. Participants leave this session buzzing with new insights and smiles. I think administrative support professionals will find this a fun and engaging experience.”

The program is aimed at administrative assistants, executive assistants, office managers, secretaries, receptionists and other support staff across all industries. Registration ends April 1, and includes parking, continental breakfast, lunch, refreshments and an access code to take the CliftonStrengths Assessment, a tool to discover an individual’s top five strengths.
