A worker with VOX Audio of Oklahoma City resets one of the four clock faces of the Oklahoma Centennial Clock located on the grounds of the Seminole County Courthouse in Wewoka. The clock underwent a number of repairs and upgrades in December thanks to an anonymous donor. The timepiece received four new Swiss clock movements, new LED lighting, new minute- and hour-hands, upgraded automatic controls, the installation of an atomic receiver antenna to keep the clock on time by receiving data from a satellite, and a thorough cleaning of the exterior.

In addition to new time-keeping mechanisms and LED bulbs, Wewoka’s Centennial Clock received a good cleaning and four new sets of hands to mark the march of time. Here, one of the four clock faces is seen after it has been cleaned and the new weighted hour and minute hands have been installed.

Jeff Bezdek, owner of VOX Audio in Oklahoma City, installs new LED bulbs inside Wewoka’s Centennial Clock. the new lighting will better illuminate the clock’s four dials and will require less maintenance and provide lower operating costs. The new lights are part of a $10,500 upgrade to the timepiece, funded by an anonymous donor in December.
