Members of Class XXI of Leadership Seminole visited the Seminole County Seat in Wewoka on Wednesday. Their walking tour of the Courthouse included stops at the Seminole County Election Board, and in the offices of the County Clerk, Court Clerk, County Commissioners, Treasurer and Assessor. The class also toured the Seminole County Jail. Speakers included elected officials County Clerk Tahasha Wilcots, Treasurer Lisa Turpin, Assessor Denise Bailey, and County Commissioner Cliff Taylor. County government was the topic of Session 5 of the Seminole Chamber of Commerce local leadership education program.
