In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and following the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the governing association for Seminole State College and all community and junior college athletics throughout the United States, the NJCAA, has made the difficult decision to cancel all upcoming basketball championships as well as all spring athletic competition, effective immediately.

The cancellation includes all practices, regular season, postseason, and national championship play.

“We all feel disappointment that our student-athletes will not be able to compete for the remainder of the semester, but the health of our students, fans, and coaches is of the utmost importance”, said SSC Athletic Director Mike St. John.

The NJCAA and SSC will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
