ODOT will begin construction of sidewalk improvements on Broadway Avenue on March 15th. They will begin on the West side of Broadway starting at Jefferson Street and will end at 8th Street (see map on page 12).

ODOT predicts the project will last 210 days weather permitting. This is the final phase of the 2 phase Broadway renovations.

Public Works Director Bryant Baker said, “We have had many questions from the citizens about the sidewalk signs that went up. The 2nd phase of the Broadway renovations is to make sidewalk improvements and make them ADA compliant.”

City Manager Steve Saxon said, “This is going to be fantastic for our down-area. tons of foot traffic and quite a bit of motorized wheelchair use downtown. This ODOT project should be a great addition to help our people access the central business district.”
