Seminole Tennis Team Qualify for State
The Seminole Lady Chieftains Tennis Team travelled to Owasso for their Regional Tennis Competition and qualified for State.
The number one doubles seniors Ashley Baker and Lilea King had to fight back in the finals losing the first set 4-6 to Wagoner but then won the next two sets 6-4, 6-2.
Baker and King won first place in number one doubles.
Mikenlea Synder placed third in the number one singles.
In the number two doubles, senior Brenna Canfield and junior Jaci Porter placed second to a tough serving Regent team.
Sophomore Natalie Choate never gave up and fought to qualify against Victory Christian.
Choate lost the first set in a tie breaker but went on to win 7-5 and 6-2.
The Seminole Tennis Team qualified for State and will play at the OKC Tennis Center this weekend.
Not many teams qualified. It signifies they are one of the top sweet 16 teams in the state in 4A.
