Seminole Student to Compete in the World Imperial Beauties Pageant
Emma Gates, a sophomore at the Academy of Seminole, is going to represent our beautiful state of Oklahoma in July at the World Imperial Beauties Pageant Teen Division in Orlando, Florida.
She recently was crowned Miss Oklahoma Teen for the World Imperial Beauties.
Due to the pandemic, the pageant was mostly an online interview pageant. She was named the winner on November 16th and they had to mail her the crown and sash.
Her platform was to help stop bullying in our community which she started a group called the Angel Wings Project at her school. At the group they meet with other students that need a safe space to talk to their peers.
Being a sophomore, she already knows what she wants to major in when she attends college. She wants to become a psychiatrist when she grows up and continue her platform of stopping bullying and helping teens with body image issues.
In August she will be a junior in high school and also attending college full time.
