Seminole Splashpad Closed for Repairs Until Further Notice
The Seminole Splashpad is temporarily closed for repairs until further notice. Currently there are multiple areas of The Splashpad that need maintenance.
“Pipes need to be repaired, computers are not communicating correctly, leaks need to be fixed, and the pumps are not doing their job,” explained Public Works Director Bryant Baker. “We are in the process of bringing in contractors to get the problems fixed so kids can enjoy it again.”
There are multiple activities still available around Seminole for children this summer. The Seminole Public Library has a summer reading children’s program and meets each Wednesday in June at 10 a.m. at the Municipal Building. Boomtown Playground and Sportsman Lake and all area parks continue to be open. For indoor activity, the City of Seminole recommends families use the Reynolds Wellness Center to play games or exercise.
