Seminole Splash Pad Makes a Quick Recovery
The Seminole Splash Pad is back up and running! After experiencing a few technical difficulties in the form of leaks and pump issues earlier this week, the splash pad was forced to briefly shutdown on Tuesday, June 9. However, it was back open the following morning thanks to the work of the Seminole Water Department and Seminole Chemical. The two came together in order to get the Splash Pad back in operating condition for the kids of Seminole.
Public Works Director Bryant Baker affirms that their, “main objective is to make sure Seminole residents and kids have a fun summer,” which is why they are working so hard to keep it open for them.
They still have contractors coming in to make more permanent fixes to some of the larger issues the splash pad is experiencing. “It’s like a pool,” says Baker, and it therefore is going to need upkeep throughout the summer. As of right now though, it is fully operational and a great place for the people of Seminole to go if they need to get out of the heat or entertain their kids for a few hours.
